Take Two!

Amy and Tim were due to be married in October 2020. In spite of Covid restrictions they scaled down and became man and wife. In the year that followed they became parents to the gorgeous Obie and moved into their first home.

One year later, after an incredibly colourful pre-wedding shoot, the couple had their dream fairytale wedding.

Chris joined Tim at their home in Sandown for his preparations. He had Amy’s younger brother with him and in spite of an incident with an escapee cat they had great fun. The men travelled to Appuldurcombe House in a funky VW camper van and enjoyed champagne en route. Meanwhile, in the Coach House at the venue, Amy and her bridal party were undergoing their wedding transformations.

Being a huge fan of Disney princesses, Amy’s wedding dress designed by Karen Dornelllie, was a great reflection of this. The dress was really hard to photograph as the skirt alone filled an entire double bed! Her outfit as well as those of her bridal party, involved very cool red and gold Doctor Marten boots. Their son Obie wore teeny-tiny Converse as ring bearer, super-cutie and star of the show.

Amy On A Magic Carpet Ride

Due to having been legally married the previous year, Amy and Tim were able to design a bespoke wedding ceremony. The fantastic Island Celebrant Jeni Law oversaw it for them. As well as the traditional exchange of rings, the couple had a hand fasting ceremony and lit a candle for those unable to attend. A reading from His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman had everyone, including me, in tears.

Amy and Tim are one of the most romantic couples we have ever met and their wedding was a huge celebration of love. We had the most fantastic time capturing the day. We were able to explore new ways of producing group and couple photos.

Friends and family partied into the night, enjoying a wedding breakfast provided by the Events Co; dancing to the Sounds of the Ventnor Darlings and Soul and Funk DJ Kaf-Tan and toasting marshmallows over open fires in the ruins at the back of the house. Being a prolific spoken word poet and performing at many festival, Tim knew all of their providers personally and there was a very clear sense of friendship and camaraderie throughout.

We are very glad to have been a part of both of Amy and Tim’s weddings and can’t wait to work with them again in future.
