Claire & Andrew
Like many couples wed during 2021, Claire and Andrew had to wait for their big day. When at last, it arrived, it was everything they had dreamed of.

Em & Beth, in the Evening Sun Emily & Beth’s pre-wedding shoot took place on a sun drenched, picture perfect Summer evening. The couple had allowed us to choose the location, as we know the Island so well. Wherever possible
Keira and Sam were married in May 2021. They were unworried about the current Covid-19 restrictions as they had always planned a small, intimate wedding. The couple, as well as all of their family and friends, live in Worthing, but had chosen the Island for their wedding as it was where Sam had proposed.
It was spring and the Bluebells were in flower when Claire and Andrew travelled down to the Isle of Wight for their pre-wedding shoot.
Michael & Kaori were married during the ‘fifteen only’ phase of Covid weddings. They had their ceremony privately at the Isle of Wight registry office and celebrated with family at The Hambrough Hotel in Ventnor.
Tim and Amy always planned two weddings. A tiny registry office ceremony, with a huge party and humanist ceremony the next day. Therefore, when Covid-19 disrupted their plans for wedding two, wedding one was still a go!
Pam & Jon’s wedding took place under a the cloud of 2020’s Covid-19 restrictions. They had decided early on in the year that they wanted to go ahead with their nuptials regardless. Nevertheless the days preceding the wedding were on a knife edge, with the rules set to change again at any time. Fortunately, Pam & Jon’s wedding was able to go ahead with a maximum of 30 people in attendance.
Joe and Amber held their wedding on the 14th March 2020, 9 days before the UK locked down due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. It was consequently (at least so far) my only wedding of 2020. Although family and guests were aware of the potential of lockdown (I remember a family member hoping they wouldn’t be locked down on the Isle of Wight) everyone at the wedding had a completely wonderful time.
The Muddy Bull Run is a Tough Mudder event. It takes place every year at Three Gates Farm in Calbourne, site of Rhythmtree Festival. Teams battle their way through woodland, past obstacles, under bridges and through streams on their choice of a 5km or 10km course. The competitors really enjoy the event even when cold and wet. For them it seems to be as much as the mud as it is the challenge!
Ventnor Fringe Festival takes place every August. The little seaside town of Ventnor becomes a vibrant , buzzing place. Music pours out from venues all over town, from the Harbourside Bar on the seafront, to Parkside high above.
