Devil's Chimney

Matt and Dan were very nervous about being photographed when I first met them, at The Tea House in Ventnor. We had decided to do a pre-wedding shoot a couple of days before the big day, allowing us to get to know each other and for them to feel comfortable in front of the lens. I talked to them about the wedding itself and the casual, unstaged vibe they wanted from the images. We then set off for our first shoot.

We made the most of the misty day and the location we had chosen suited the weather. I didn’t ask them to pose, but rather went for a walk with them. We chatted and took the photos as we went along. As a result both guys look really relaxed in the photos and we are all very pleased with the results.

An East Dene Wedding

Matt & Dan chose to get married at East Dene, a beautiful Georgian manor house, in Bonchurch on the Isle of Wight. It was a beautiful spring day and light flowed into the ceremony room through the conservatory. The ceremony was romantic and emotional, with readings from close friends and family. After the ceremony Matt & Dan were taken to the beach in a gorgeous old car for champagne and we went up to the cliffs to take some photos of the newly-weds. The light was warm and golden and both men were relaxed, as well as simply delighted to be married.

The entire day was relaxed and fun for everyone and truly a pleasure to shoot. The resulting images speak of love, romance and connection.

I’d like to thank Matt & Dan for choosing me to shoot their wedding and all their friends and family for making me so welcome.

Welcome
