A Pre-Wedding Shoot in Bonchurch

I met Kylie and Leon for the first time at their pre-wedding shoot. Kylie and I had chatted on the phone beforehand, but it had been her Dad, Steve who booked me as a wedding present to the couple. We met in Bonchurch and walked up to St Boniface church were they were to be married. The surrounding area is picturesque, with old stone walls and brook and verdant foliage all around. We took a walk around the lanes and stopped for a while at a turquoise gate we happened across. It was a great location in which to get to know them and take a few shots before their big day.

A Well Designed Wedding

On their wedding day, Kylie and her wedding party got ready in an apartment adjoining Appuldurcombe House. Hair and make-up was provided by Lynsey-Marie with assistance from Jo Lofthouse. Mirroring her personality, Kylie wore a dress from Forget Me Not Designs, paired with a pair of incredible Irregular Choice shoes and carried a unique non-floral bouquet, created by Maddison Rocks. After a beautiful ceremony at St Boniface Church the wedding party returned to Appuldurcombe House for their celebrations. This semi-restored Manor House is a really unique venue and Kylie’s creativity brought the place to life.

The kids table settings were fun and thoughtful and the seating plan was home-made; a bird cage decorated with vintage butterflies. The wedding cake from Cake Creations by Roz echoed the design of Kylie’s shoes and bouquet. There was live painting and BoB&BunnY provided children and adults alike with eco-friendly face glitter and the whole day sparkled.
