Amongst the Flowers
Jenna and Ricky are an incredibly romantic couple. They chose to have their pre-wedding shoot in and around Ventnor Botanic Gardens, the same venue as they were using for their wedding. Due to their busy schedules, we ended up shooting this less than a week before their big day! It was really lovely to work with a couple so shortly before they got married. The excitement they were feeling about the wedding was palpable and made the shoot even more fun. The beautiful natural setting of the gardens provided a gloriously floral backdrop, which matched Jenna’s dress perfectly.
A Botanical Wedding
On their wedding day, Jenna had her bridal preparations at a property within the gardens themselves. Her family and bridal party gathered around and we took photos as they walked past greenhouses and through tunnels of overhanging plants. The ceremony took place in a pagoda in the New Zealand Garden. Drinks were served afterwards in an area near by. Jenna and Ricky had the idea to take some fun posed photos, so we went off together with the bridesmaids and groomsmen for a play around. Afterwards we, of course, visited the famous Botanic Gardens cliff tunnel for some more intimate couple photos. The speeches were the most emotional I have ever seen and brought a tear to everyone’s eye. The wedding party danced into the night, entertained by a series of super-star DJs!
