The Lighthouse
I met Gillian and David for their pre-wedding shoot at the very Southern tip of the Isle of Wight. Castle Haven is a tiny cove in Niton and a short walk away, St Catherine’s Lighthouse stands on the cliff edge. We met first in a sheltered spot, joined by their young son. We took some family photos there before Gillian’s sister came to pick him up. The three of us walked towards the glistening white lighthouse, stopping at dry-stone walls along the way.
A Royal Cottage Wedding
Gillian and David returned to Gillian’s home town again for their wedding. The ceremony took place at St. Mary and St. Radegund church in the village of Whitwell, directly opposite her childhood home. The bridal party had prepared there earlier that morning and the married couple and their guests returned there for drinks after the ceremony. En route to their reception venue, we stopped atop the cliffs at Blackgang for a few romantic snaps. Later at Albert Cottage, guests enjoyed rare roast beef, speeches and dancing.
