Culver Down

Pam & Jon had their pre-wedding shoot on a glorious late-Summer evening. They were joined by Pam’s son Scott. The couple had booked us for their wedding the previous year. They knew Chris as he had previously carried out a family photoshoot for Pam and Scott, so asked for him to be lead photographer. Chris met up with them on Culver Down on the South Coast of the Isle of Wight and they went on a photographic walk, bathed in golden light. Although they all began the shoot feeling slightly self-conscious, they soon relaxed and had a great time!

Love Remains

Pam & Jon’s wedding took place under a the cloud of 2020’s Covid-19 restrictions. They had decided early on in the year that they wanted to go ahead with their nuptials regardless. Nevertheless the days preceding the wedding were on a knife edge, with the rules set to change again at any time. Fortunately, Pam & Jon were able to go ahead with their wedding with a maximum of 30 people in attendance. Masks were worn, sanitiser dispersed and social distancing adhered to. None of this dampened the love and joy of the occasion.

Held at The Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa in Mudeford, the wedding was small and perfectly formed. Both the bride and the groom’s bubbles held their preparations in a pair of self-contained suites in the grounds of the hotel. Guests remained seated at their tables throughout the ceremony and wedding breakfast. Pam’s son Scott walked her down the aisle looking very grown-up! The best-man even managed to stream the proceedings live for friends and family that were not able to make it. The harbour itself provided a stunning backdrop for the couple’s portraits.

It was a beautiful day and a wonderful reminder that, no matter our circumstances, love remains.
