In Costume
We were asked to photograph Sandown Carnival as part of a tourism drive. Photographing Carnivals is great fun, they are colourful, quintessentially British events and so very eccentric. Before the parade started I wandered around the floats and performers. Mario was on the seafront near to some Alpacas, whilst the carnival Queens awaited on the top road. The Mayor of Sandown opened the carnival with his bell and all the characters paraded up the High street to the delight of all the onlookers.
