Recording Jazz

Jazz quartet Khonsu-ka recorded some tracks at the beautiful Chale Abbey Studios. They invited me along to take some promo shots and a few of them recording in the studio itself. The studio is built within a 16th Century Barn on the grounds of one of the Isle of Wight’s oldest residential building and is equipped to a massively high standard. Michael Kiwanuka recorded his second album there with Dangermouse and Paul Butler from the The Bees producing.

Khonsu-ka consisted of Mark Chettle on Piano; Gary Plumply on Saxophone and flute; Jon Thorne on Double Bass and Gaspar Sena on Drums. The tracks were produced by Dave Granshaw.
