Josie and Rob da Bank are the couple responsible for some of the Country’s most electrifying and surreal festival experiences. As founders of Bestival and Camp Bestival they brought excitement and joy to Festival goers on the Isle of Wight and in Lulworth. I popped in to take a few promotional shots for Camp Bestival.
Enya’s naming ceremony took place in her back garden, under a beautiful tree. Island Celebrant Jeni performed the ceremony whilst Enya relaxed.
Jazz quartet Khonsu-ka recorded some tracks at the beautiful Chale Abbey Studios. They invited me along to take some promo shots and a few of them recording in the studio itself. The studio is built within a 16th Century Barn on the grounds of one of the Isle of Wight’s oldest residential building and is equipped to a massively high standard.
Nettlecombe Farm is an award winning holiday site in Whitwell. As well as 9 holiday cottages of various sizes, it has a Yoga Barn, Fishing Lakes and a menagerie of animals. It is set in some of the most beautiful Countryside the Isle of Wight has to offer.
The South East Beach Cafe is situated right on the sand in Shanklin. Owned and run by Lee Pardy and Betty Almond, it is an expansion on a tiny cafe Lee had on the site previously. The Cafe has an amazing outlook with fully glazed doors opening out onto the Channel.
Sian is an incredibly flexible Yoga teacher working on the Isle of Wight. She has fantastic energy and super-duper poses. We did a promo shoot for her using the Yoga Barn at Nettlecombe Farm as a studio. We started with some Yoga poses and finished off with a few commercial head shots for her to use for model agencies.
I have know members of the Family Brown since I was very young. I went to school with Adam and knew his Sisters from my first job at Wight Waters. Fiona got in touch for a family photoshoot for her parent’s anniversary. All of their children had returned to the Island for the event and it was a perfect opportunity. We used the Yoga Barn at Nettlecombe Farm as a studio for the shoot.
Blue Labelle is a natural skincare range started by Pascall Edwards-Labelle. Based in Ventnor, Pascall has expanded her business, getting national brand coverage and opening her own shop. The shop has the added advantage of housing her lab, meaning she can create whilst simultaneously running her commercial space.
Ventnor Fringe Festival takes place every August. The little seaside town of Ventnor becomes a vibrant , buzzing place. Music pours out from venues all over town, from the Harbourside Bar on the seafront, to Parkside high above.
