Kerry & Matt
I first met Kerry when we met up for a casual photography consultation for her wedding to Matt. She was friendly; we hit it off immediately and began to plan a bespoke photography package for the day. As both her & Matt were nervous, we added a pre-wedding shoot. This is a great way to break the ice with a couple and allow them to feel at ease on the wedding day.
Kerry & I arranged the shoot to involve her 3 children as well as her and Matt. We met at Quarr Abbey and took a casual walk through the grounds and down to the site of the old Abbey, where we did our main shoot. Everyone felt more at ease and ready for the big day.
The wedding day itself was a little grey and rainy but that did not dampen anyone’s spirits. I arrived early at Kerry’s Dad’s house in Shanklin to catch the final moments of preparation. Using every shortcut I know, I arrived at Newport registry office in plenty of time to capture the bride arriving and to record a nervous Matt waiting inside. The ceremony was short but sweet and soon everyone was heading off to enjoy themselves.
Kerry & Matt completed their big day with a reception at Holliers Hotel in Shanklin Old Village. Family and friends enjoyed a roast feast and partied the night away.
