The Isle of Wight Festival
The Isle of Wight Festival is a World famous music Festival. In it’s first guise it was held in 1968,69 and 70. The last of these festivals, considered ‘the last great event‘ hosted over 700,000 people and was the largest of it’s kind in the world, bigger even than Woodstock. Held at Wooton, Godshill and Afton Farm respectively, superstars such as Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and Joni Mitchell performed.
The modern Isle of Wight Festival started in 2001 at Seaclose Park in Newport and continued successfully ever since.
In recent years myself and my husband Chris have been shooting at Kashmir Cafe. Kashmir Cafe is a stage hosted by the Island’s Quay Arts Centre and features many Island bands as well as more established acts from elsewhere. Chris, in his capacity as designer, provides all artwork and design for this stage.
